Welcome to Ascendant 


Ascendant Psychiatric and Consulting Centre is a collaborative venture bringing a dedicated team of clinicians together to continue a tradition of excellence in patient care.Our clinicians are committed to meeting the mental health needs of South Shore residents through the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. We provide an array of outpatient services including counseling, medication management, and neuropsychological testing.

We at APCC offer an array of patient care Services for residents of the South Shore. 

We provide:
  • medication management (psychopharmacology)
  • psychotherapy and counseling (individual, couples, family, group)
  • testing (neuropsychological, neurodevelopmental, personality, cognitive)


Our Clinical Clinical Staff have expertise in the disciplines of:

  • psychiatry,
  • psychiatric nursing,
  • social work,
  • clinical and counseling psychology,
  • neuropsychology, and
  • medical psychology. 


Ascendant clinicians are adept in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric, psychological and behavioral symptoms.  Further, we use a collaborative approach to patient care, considering the biological/medical, psychological, social and environmental factors which influence human functioning in the context or health and wellness. 


Our clinical philosophy places emphasis on non-pharmacological  approaches to address chronic issues such as insomnia or weight management.


APCC also offer educational and self-improvement services under the Better You Centre (BYC) through workshops, coaching or consultation.

Hours:
Ascendant is generally open from 9:00 AM to 7:00PM Monday through Thursday; on Friday's the office closes at 4:00PM. The hours vary somewhat and are subject to change.  Please call ahead if you plan to drop by early or late in the day.

Patients are seen by appointment only.  We do not provide walk-in emergency care.

Parking and Accessibility:

Parking is abundant and free at APCC We also have a number of accessible parking spaces available for those in need. Although our offices are located on the first and second floors, we do offer accessibility to ground-level office space for those who travel by wheelchair.


Directions:

APCC is located just off of Route 3 at Exit 15. When exiting, head West toward Weymouth. 175 Derby Street is the first drive on your right (across from South Shore Park).  Our suite is the last building down the drive, on the right.
